The Image Resizer & Cropper changes the size and shape of a photo in a few clicks. Drop in an image, paste one from your clipboard or pick a file, then type the width or height you need. The other side follows automatically so nothing gets squashed, or you can unlock it to set both sides yourself. You can also scale by a percentage, such as 50% for a quick, smaller copy.
For social media, choose a preset such as Instagram post (1080 × 1080), Instagram story (1080 × 1920) or YouTube thumbnail (1280 × 720). If the preset has a different shape from your photo, the tool switches to Crop and places a crop box of exactly that shape over the image. Drag the box to choose what to keep and drag its corners or edges to resize it, with a mouse, a finger or the arrow keys. Rotate and flip buttons fix sideways or mirrored photos.
Save the result as JPG, PNG or WEBP. The output size, real file size and a small preview update as you work, and the download gets a clear name such as photo-1080x1080.jpg. Downscaling uses high-quality resampling so edges stay smooth. It does not use AI: everything is done with your browser's own image tools on your device, so your photos are never uploaded.
No. Resizing, cropping and saving all happen in your browser on your own device. Your images are never sent anywhere, and the tool keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.
Pick a preset such as Instagram post, Instagram story, Facebook, X / Twitter, LinkedIn or YouTube thumbnail. If your photo is a different shape, the tool switches to Crop at the right shape; move the crop box to frame your photo, then download. The file comes out at exactly the preset size.
Making an image smaller keeps it sharp, because the tool uses high-quality resampling. Making it bigger than the original can only stretch the pixels it has, so it may look soft; the tool warns you when that happens.
JPG suits photos and works everywhere. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency for logos and screenshots. WEBP usually gives the smallest files and works in all modern browsers and apps. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white.
There is no file-size limit. Very large images (over about 40 megapixels) can take a few seconds, and above about 50 megapixels the tool edits a smaller copy so your browser stays stable. Outputs are limited to 16,384 pixels on each side.
